Another week has come and gone...I spent 2 days this last week working on a project for some clients, so it was a short week for progress. With that being said, the kitchen floor has been fully repaired, and I built some walls and laid out for the new cabinets. New drywall work can begin in 2 weeks, and there are some big electrical changes in the works as well. Did I mention it's been snowing nearly every day? Just a little bit in the mornings, but the snow on the north side of the house isn't melting at all. That should make some of my repairs a little tricky. Oh well, nothing a little flame thrower can't solve!
One thing I'm going to have to deal with sooner or later, is the existing appliances. Yes, they are still here, in the house. I have them piled in the laundry room, but they will need to go somewhere. 2 refrigerators, a dishwasher, an oven, and a washer and dryer. So if you know anyone who might want an appliance that may or may not work...let me know!
Ok, down to business. These walls (they may be few, but they are mighty) I put in the kitchen are for a new location for the fridge, (a 36" wide one or smaller) a large pantry which will have 4 rows of shelves, new lighting and a barn door. I also removed the false beam that ran awkwardly through the kitchen. I'm keeping the one that runs parallel to the kitchen and dining area, and I'm going to make it better. You'll have to see what happens to it, check back in March! ha! By the way, ignore the tools scattered everywhere. It's all a part of the creative process. The messier the better.
So yeah, thats the latest. Next week I'm remodeling a bathroom for a client, and going to Wyoming for Thanksgiving. So There wont be much of an update. Oh! Wait! I'm picking up the new windows next week also! I had to order them as apparently no one around here can get this size.
That's it for now, have a wonderful week, and Thanksgiving!
